Pythons take over parts of Florida

Pythons have been set free in natural marshes in parts of Florida and the police are alarmed. They are growing very large and eating wild pigs and sometimes alligators. One pet python got out of his cage and strangled a child in a house. The police want to destroy all of these snakes which number now in the high thousands. What do you think of this?

It's a shame that people buy exotic pets, then release them into the wild when they can no longer manage their pets health care. There out to be more restrictions to reduce the likelihood that irresponsible people will purchase an exotic pet, such as the Burmese Python. I'm against killing them, but there is a need to relocate them. But if I saw one in my yard, I'd probably want it dead first, then I'd worry about how humane that was later. Those snakes can weigh up to 250 pounds when full grown!

Hello, glad to meet you. You write about pythons, that is very interesting to me, as my last children's book is about a royal python that gets without knowing into a boy's travel bag and ends up in his room back home. I had to do a lot of research on pythons in order to be able to write about these fascinating reptiles. I see you have three blogs, which would you say I should follow?

I don't like spiders or snakes...lol. I don't think its right people just let them go and that is why they are in a predictament. I'm sure they've researched to make sure they're not driven to extinction.
