My grandfather served in ww2. Most of my family are buried in a cemetary about an hour and a half from me. I will be driving there to place flowers on the graves. That is something that my mom used to do when she was here.
Then I will head to Wisconsin Dells for a day of memories..I spent a lot of time there as a child. It's only 13 miles from where my mom grew up.
Should be a good day.

My family and I had a quiet day together; It was both appropriate and needed. Things have been so topsy turvy the last few months that we're taking every chance we can to simply breathe.
As for relatives that have served?Yes, I have had several that served in WWII, Vietnam, etc.. Thankfully the generation of my family to which I belong (my cousins and brother also) have been spared the horrors of war for now. I hope it stays that way!
