What do you think of Facebook?

Senortia had some interesting comments about Facebook and her recent voyage into that world...
What do you think of it?

Glad to see you back, Nat, trying to get us to think and share our thoughts.

I tried Facebook for a long time. Too much games and quick one liners for me. It did put me back in touch with some old school friends, but not for the kind of communication I prefer. So I'm back to just being a blogger.

Facebook, I'm on it, but if I'm brutally honest, only to follow those that have left blogging and are now on there.

It's ok for the games but to chat on it's a real pain the butt

I enjoy Facebook.

I hate Facebook, but love the communication it has given me with my family and blogging friends. I just delete posts I don't want, get rid of game postings, etc. I SURELY miss the love we had in J-Land.

Well Nat, I was dragged into it and when no one was looking I could've left - but after connecting with people in a quick, simple way, I stopped blogging so much and realized I'd been Faced, so to speak. Bitten by the Book of Faces. Unable to see the evil "lurking" there (pun) I update almost every week - yet I hear some do it daily. So I'm ok for now. And you? How do you take this latest in our social networking world? Are you sickened by the profits made by folks we don't know? Or just satisfied to connect here and there with the other humans.

Almost forgot: NO GAMES OR HYBRID ANIMALS ALLOWED!! ;)

Hi Nat! I know there are a lot of differing oppinions about facebook, but I've got to say I love it. Being out in the boonies, and living far away from my family back home, it's been a great way to keep in touch (with texting too) with family spread out all over North America. Yes, it can be addictive with some of the games- but it's a nice way to relax too sometimes.

I absolutely hated it and after a couple of months closed my account. You cannot get to really know people on there, too many games, too many exchanging silly little gifts, too many strangers wanting to be your friends. Oh no, it is not for me thank you very much.

Hi Nat... it's Bea. Been a longgg time! I happened to read one of Dirk's blog entries, saw you on his list of followers, and thought to stop in and say "hi!" I am on fB now, just joined up last month. Love it because I don't have to spend much time on it to keep in touch with all my family who live so far away. Also, friends and co-workers are on, posting little daily tidbits about their goings-on and celebrations. I have complete control over which posts to keep. Some I delete if it's repetitious or seems to personal of nature. The privacy settings allow you to select how much privacy you want. Like blogging, you just have to be mindful what you put out there for your Friends to read. And you choose who you 'Friends' are. I hope you are well, Nat. I just don't have time to blog anymore. I hate that! I miss AOL journals. love, bea
