Happy Pearl Harbor Day

Jimmy's Journal mentions Pearl Harbor in detail...
I wish you say that we bloggers honor all of the victims of Pearl Harbor.
It was a terrible tragedy to see them cut down when they weren't expecting to be attacked in their ships in port...
Our Deepest Condolences to all you lost brave men and women that day.
Please leave comments and condolences for these people.

Thanks for the mention, Nat. It's great that you are a part of the people who remember, as well.

The sad thing about this is that the survivors are aging, and soon they will all be gone. I feel like a link to the past will be lost.

Hi Nat,
How about the news that Prez obama suggested that the Military pay for their own health/ medical Insurance-- even after they get wounded in battle?
My own father was wounded in Saipan in WW-2 fighting the Japanese.

Thank you for your warm comments, and I would be even more happy if you included them on my Blog.
Have a great day.

It was a terrible tragedy Nat but it turned the tide of the war in the end and possibly saved millions more from dying so I like to believe that their sacrifice was not in vain.

Sounds odd doesn't it "Happy" Pearl Harbor Day. But I get it, and Nat I must say that since so many folks are still alive who remember, and those that have passed on told their stories to their families, it would be hard for me to be as honorable as I feel toward anyone who makes such a noble sacrifice, and still give my opinion about the war in the Pacific, which PH started. Just another political maneuver that didn't have to happen but did because certain people in powerful places needed it to. Remember, war always makes the rich richer, the powerful more so. It's the most illogical invention of our species. When the first 2 humans decided to quarrel they probably fought it out together - that makes sense. But as soon as many others got involved we created little armies over our evolution and made sure they had a purpose. That created a profit for someone. And on it went. It has nothing to do with what we've come to think of as noble causes and rights, liberties, etc. War makes no sense and that's how I know it cannot be explained, if I try to explain Peal Harbor it'll sound completely idiotic - because it is. Imagine. If the countries that wish to make war on each other could just choose 2 guys to get in a ring and fight it out till one hits the mat. But no, that makes too much sense, it'll never happen because WHO'D MAKE MONEY? Surely not the armory manufacturers. Surely not the armed forces. Surely not this government. Surely not the tank builders, rifle makers, all of it. So on we go...where we stop is moot because I doubt we ever will. Shame on us.
